The individual studio portrait is the cornerstone of a Professional Studio Photographer' s trade. Whichever genre they may pursue later, the studio portrait remains the most fundamental of skills, balancing and controlling light and exposure and utilising a variety of posing techniques to capture the personality and nuances of the subject.

Images from our portrait sittings have been used for numerous things, graduation portraits, memorable sporting awards, grandparents sending photos to their families across the miles, professional social networking sites and of course online dating profiles.

At Welland Photo Services we are very proud of the fact that we are qualified members of both the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and also the Society of International Fashion and Glamour Photographers.

Our individual sittings normally last around an hour and include changes of clothes as required by the client and image capture undertaken against a pre agreed mixture of background and/or sets. A one hour sitting for up to 5 people with a complimentary 10x8" card mounted print is just £50

We know that sometimes a family portrait or individual portraits may not be as commemorative as a wedding, christening or newborn session so For our portrait service we are happy to offer a two tier print pricing schedule.

Our normal print service offers a good quality print finish at a sensible pricing point while our bespoke printing service offers a superior professional print.  You can of course decide to mix and match between the two especially if you wish to showcase one particular favoured image.
